Directed by Abel and Burlee Vang, this horror movie is predictable, no real surprises except for how technology can be used to curse or hex a victim an intriguing storyline along with a handful of jump scares but still falls short.

In many ways Bedeviled reminds me of the The Ring. Anyone who watched the cursed VHS would die. This phone app puts a demonic hex of destruction on anyone who loads the app into their phone and starts to use it.

As things progress each victim has strange burn marks on their skin and starts seeing frightening visions.

A new take on the occult instead of a ritual casting for the demonic against someone with it's presence slowly creeping into their lives and home, the demonic haunt and torment their victims via technology, three and a half stars.

It sounded more like what a 50 year old thought a teenager would say. Now days, you can't find really good horror movies that are actually scary.

The idea behind this movie is original and the storyline was focused on keeping the viewer engaged. With this movie it wasn't the music at the emphasis points that made me jump, it was the creepy characters and their creepy, menacing grins I guess I've seen half dozen or so of this same premise.

This is not an original idea and that is where the similarities stop. From the top notch acting to the lavish sets, this one takes the prize for most times it actually scared me!

These are not the sort of things normally portrayed in horror films, but they Will be. This will be at the top of my list for many Halloweens to come.

It's all reasonably entertaining, if a bit long, but it does feel a bit hollow as, although you get to know what is behind the app, you don't get to know enough about it, and it is a bit of a one-trick pony.

The film is therefore pretty much just about scaring the unwitting victims, the same way each time. The film does feel reasonably well made which isn't a given in the budget horror genre so for this I give it 3.
