From the violence, racial tension and prison policy changes I'm writing to you now on lockdown. So stress from my environment and dealing with my own personal issues of family and friends has been a big distraction.

Disappointment and anger have been my headline feeling and emotion lately. I guess when you're down and out nobody can understand your struggle except someone of the same struggle.

Strange, because then it doesn't matter. Because it doesn't save you! If two people are drowning at opposite ends of the pool, sure they know how each other feels but what good is that understanding for each others pain when they're drowning?!

What they both need is someone to throw them a lifeline so they can breath and feel life again. I'm one of those people downing however instead of water, I'm drowning in violence, hatred, judgment, mental and emotional anguish.
